Where would I be without adventures? Working. Really, who wants that? “I don’t live to work, I work so that I can live.” I’ve always been a weekend warrior, and although I do typically work within the typical 9-5, I strive to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

To offset the computer time, in the summers you will find me fly fishing and paddle boarding (I guide both), mountain biking, rafting, wandering in the mountains and desert, taking photos, foraging for mushrooms and shooting the stars. And in the winter you can find me sliding on the snow..

These days, everybody’s gotta have a “side-hustle,” right?

I guide privately, offering clients an exceptional guided experience while providing essential fly fishing and stand up paddle board practices through necessary guided instruction and technique. I have many MANY hobbies in the summer, and at the top of my list, paddle boarding. I am a Stand Up Paddle Board Guide for Telluride, Colorado's locally owned premiere guiding outfitter Telluride Outside. Am am also the founder of San Juan SUP Co., a website dedicated to being a resource for all things stand up paddle boarding throughout the San Juan Mountains and Western Colorado.

Like golf for some, fishing has always been a life-long favorite hobby. I have always been an avid fisher-woman since before I can remember. Give me a worm, a grasshopper, a spinner or lure, a fly or even bare hands and I will pull a fish out of just about anywhere.

My fly fishing habit started in a less traditional way with the old traditional Japanese style of fly fishing called Tenkara. Originating some 200 years ago, Tenkara, meaning "from heaven," is used for mountain stream trout fishing and is one of the most popular methods of angling among fresh-water mountain anglers in Japan. Tenkara is perfect for hiking to high lakes, backpacking, paddle boarding and packing around pretty much everywhere. But of course, Tenkara could only go so far, and it wasn’t long before I picked up a true fly fishing rod and reel. Now you will find me hauling in lunkers off my paddle board at the local lake, and guiding fishing trips on the San Miguel River.
